The Squamish Eco-friendly RMD Leashes are handmade by a tiny team of local animal lovers in Calgary, AB! Each leash is made from retired climbing rope that is cut, tied and stitched for your dog's adventures.

These rope leashes are durable and lightweight with a locking carabiner to give you the ultimate confidence on the trail or a walk around the neighbourhood. Adjustable to hands free with a second carabiner, by tying a knot in the leash.

Available in various colours in 5' or 8' length leashes. ** Please check your cart not all colour ways are available in both lengths** 

We machine wash all the climbing rope that we make leashes out of. Overall, the rope on each leash is in great condition.

Do you have climbing rope to sell?

We pay up to $.50 per 1m of clean, gently used rope or you can donate it to us. Please email us a photograph of your rope and we'll make you an offer! Email info@rockymountaindog.ca or call us at 403-540-2746 with any questions.

Where do we get the rope from?

There are two main sources of supply of our rope leashes:

• Local climbing facilities in Alberta - we pay or receive donations from climbing gyms in Calgary and surrounding cities
• People like you - we've posted in local climbing groups on Facebook for rope.

Because these leashes do not have a swivel function, we do not recommend using a metal choke chain training slip collar with these rope leashes. All other collars are fine.
