NEVER SETTLE, STAND OUT WITH RMD TAGS
Redefining Dog ID Tags
RMD Tags were created to help your dog stand out from the pack.
With inspired designs of the Rocky Mountains and landscapes on wood or aluminum tag options your dog is sure to get noticed.
**Tags cannot be express shipped as they take a week to process**
What Size Should I get?
1" vs. 1.5"? This is a preference, we would say 1.5" would be great for most medium and large size dogs and even small dogs. If your dog is smaller, or maybe you have a cat, then the 1" may be more suitable. The 1.5" can accommodate two phone numbers.
Personalization
Select your size and style, then personalize your tag with your dog's name, and phone number which goes on the back. The font will be the same for the name and phone number.
**The Personalizer only allows for one image, rest assured your color and style choice will be saved in the cart**
About the Wood
The hardwood is constructed of five single-ply, high quality hardwood layers (or veneers) that are laminated together with their wood grains stacked at the right angles to each other for added strength, stiffness and dimensional stability.
Cherry Wood
Natural cherry wood is perhaps the most prized furniture hardwood in North America. Easily our most popular seller, cherry is a smooth grained, reddish-brown hardwood that comes from the American Black Cherry fruit tree.
Cherry is renowned among woodworkers and furniture aficionados for its color and aging process.
Maple Wood
Maple wood is incredibly strong, looks great, and stains nicely. Woodworkers and furniture aficionados gravitate towards maple for its light, creamy color, smooth grain pattern, and impressive durability.
Although there are dozens of species of maple trees around the globe, the species most common among woodworkers is Hard Maple (aka Sugar Maple or Rock Maple).
Walnut Wood
Walnut wood is dark, hard, dense and tight-grained. It's prized by woodworkers for its strength, grain and color. Over the years, natural walnut wood develops a lustrous patina. As the only dark-brown domestic wood species, it has a large following of devoted woodworkers and fine furniture aficionados.
Although there are many varieties of walnut trees, just a handful are native to North America. Of them, the Eastern Black Walnut, also called the American Black Walnut or American Walnut, is the one typically used for woodworking.
Processing the Tag
After each tag is engraved we stain it with all-natural Tung Oil that forms an elastic film resistant to abrasion and moisture. It penetrates well and builds a transparent but matte finish on wood, emphasizing the grain and color.
How long will the wood last? We guarantee the wood will last at least two years. To ensure your tag lasts even longer, we recommend you stain your tag every year. It literally takes 1 minute by applying a veneer or a clear wood stain to your tag.
