Mercedes & Olive

Meet Mercedes Hamilton and her adventure pup, Olive!

Olive is a sweet rescue Mercedes first met while volunteering at her local Humane Society, and from the moment they found each other, they've been inseparable. Olive has since moved all over with Mercedes and her fiancé, who plays professional hockey, and has become her entire world.

They currently call Calgary home but are often on the move, whether it's road-tripping to the Rockies or heading down to the US for the hockey season. One of their recent favorite stops? Colorado, a place that instantly stole their hearts.

Mercedes is a Veterinary Assistant and is applying to Vet Tech school this fall. When she's not studying or working, you can find her behind a camera, cheering at a hockey game, or out hiking trails with Olive. The two of them do pretty much everything together.

Fun fact: Olive recently attended her very first hockey game, and loved every second of it! (Especially the part where she got to chew on pucks and run wild on the ice after the game).

What is your favorite activity to do with your dog(s)?

Hiking with her in the mountains.

What do you love most about your dog(s)?

I love Olive's friendliness, she has never met a human or animal that she doesn't like!

Where is your favorite place to go Hiking?

I loved taking Olive to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs this past Spring. We also frequent Canmore, Kananaskis and Banff together. 

What other activities do you do with your dog(s)?

I will take her into stores like MEC, REI, Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's. She is the best customer greeter and will explore every inch of the store. We usually end with her picking out a new toy or piece of gear!

What is your favorite RMD product?
